Hartford Ryan White Part A Positive Empowerment Committee (PEC)
Time: 10:30am - 11:30am
Location: AIDS Legal Network, 999 Asylum Avenue- 3rd floor, Hartford
The PEC of The Ryan White Planning Council meets before the Planning Council meeting.. The PEC serves as a link between the HIV/AIDS community and the Council, and is the place where consumers meet and discuss their concerns about the needs and services throughout the Transitional Grant Area.

Hartford Ryan White Part A Planning Council

Location: AIDS Legal Network, 999 Asylum Avenue- 3rd floor, Hartford
The Ryan White Part A Planning Council meets on the first Wednesday of the Month. Meetings are open to the public. The Planning Council is representative of the local epidemic and includes members from state and local health care agencies, community based organizations as well as people living with HIV/AIDS. The Planning Council identifies gaps in HIV care and services, sets priorities and allocates funds to ensure an on-going system of care for persons living with HIV/AIDS.

Positive Voices: A Support Group for HIV + Men
Time: 4:30pm - 6:00pm
Location: 1302 Chapel Street, New Haven CT
Positive Voices is a support, social and information group for men who are living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. The group was started as a HIV + Gay Men's Group -- but now is open to all HIV + men. At meetings there may be presentations on topics such as activism, consumer involvment, HIV funding, massage, yoga, acupuncture, nutrition, research & medical updates, as well as mental health, relationships and more. It is up to the group to decide what topics they would like to pursue. There are dinners, and sometimes raffles and movie nights.

HIV Support Group Norwalk, CT
Time: 7:00pm EST
Location: MFPA, 618 West Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06850-4008
Support Groups address the needs of those affected by HIV/AIDS, including friends and family. Many who are infected with HIV occasionally need a shoulder to lean on or a sympathetic ear. MFAP holds support groups in English and Spanish so that our clients have an opportunity to express their feelings. We invite all who are infected with HIV to take part in this healing process.

Must be HIV (+) to participate. Please call (203) 855-9535 before attending for the first time. Free, no participation fee or donation required.
